March 2008 Career Fair
Our office provides career consulting
and job search assistance to students and alumni using the “Career
Track NSU Model”. The Career Track Model is a partnership between
the student/alumnus and Career Services to help in reaching their chosen
goals and career destination. In summary, the model:
- Encourages the student to develop a plan of action that will allow
the student/alumnus to make successful career decisions.
- Requires that an ongoing relationship be maintained with a Career
Consultant to customize all of the possible options available to
achieve their goals.
- Supports students/alumnus by increasing contacts with employers,
recruiters, graduate/professional schools and other resources.
- Provides ongoing and consistent follow-up to reassess, explore
options and work towards a position of career success.
Our Purpose
To support NSU students and alumni in the implementation of successful
career plans from choosing a direction to securing employment or continuing
their education. Through consulting, partnership with employers and
faculty, Career Services strives to educate students and alumni.
