In order to gain more experiences working with youth, Sandra volunteered as a writing coach for College Summit which helps rising high school seniors prepare and apply for college. In addition, Sandra completed a year of service with AmeriCorps and served as a Pre-K Literary Tutor at a Title 1 school in Miami Gardens, Florida.
Sandra is currently in her second year of her Master’s program in College Student Affairs. After receiving her master’s degree, Sandra aspires to work with first generation, low-income, and multicultural college students. On her down time, she enjoys music, reading, pop culture, and watching The Walking Dead.
