Description: Current NSU students who wish to attend a Fins Football home game must first reserve their package for the 2017 season by submitting a one-time $75 refundable fee. Students can then redeem their package and claim a ticket to any desired game/s once student and/or guest reservations for that game are open. Description: Join us as we kick-off the week of events in our Opening Ceremony. The event will be filled with music, food trucks, interactive games, student performances, an apperance by Razor the Shark, and much more! The night we will be kicking it back to the 90's as we look to have a great Homecoming week!

Location: Gold Circle Lake

Description: Every year, dozens of NSU students, faculty, and staff come out to cheer Razor’s Edge students in the Annual “Anything That Floats” Raft Races that takes place during NSU’s Homecoming Week at the Gold Circle Lake. The Office of Campus Life and Student Engagement in conjunction with Recreation and Wellness is excited to announce that we have opened the raft races to both Razor’s Edge Leadership AND all registered student clubs and organizations for the chance to compete and win $2000K!

There will be 6 heats. The winner’s from each heat will be in the qualifying 7th final round and it will consist of three winners.

  • First place winner will win $2000
  • Second place will win $1000
  • Third place will win $500

If student organizations partner in one raft (maximum of 2 org), the prizes will be split evenly between the groups. All prize money will either be awarded to the student organization account or the money will go toward a Razor's Edge Student Legacy project.

Location: “The Venue” Fort Lauderdale

Description: Come out to dance and have a great time with your fellow NSU Sharks and friends! NSU transportation will be provided from 9:30 p.m. -12:00 a.m. from the NSU Shark Fountain, in front of the Don Taft University Center to The Venue in Fort Lauderdale, Return transportation back to campus will be provided from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Please bring your Shark Cards with you. 

Tickets go on sale starting November 1st, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, in the Office of Campus Life & Student Engagement, located in the Don Taft University Center. Tickets will cost $10 through November 8th and $15 on the day of the event until 5:00 p.m. No tickets will be sold from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., but will resume at 8:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m. at the price of $20.

Students will have a max of two (2) tickets that they can purchase. No tickets will be sold at the Venue. TICKETS ARE NON REFUNDABLE.

Rules/Reminders:

  • If you choose to take your own transportation, valet parking is $5 or you may park at the city meters/lots around the area. 
  • You are not allowed to re-enter the Venue if you leave the facility.
  • Prior to boarding the NSU’s transportation, if you, the student and/or guest show signs of being under the influence you will not be allowed to board our transportation.
  • No bags are permitted on the shuttle or in the club (handbags are permitted). See below for specific sizes.
  • All NSU students and guests will be held in accordance to the NSU student handbook along with any and all federal, state, and local laws and ordinances
  • For security purposes, please be aware that all NSU shuttles are equipped with video and audio surveillances.
  • No food and/or beverages are allowed onto NSU’s transportation.
  • As it pertains to the NSU’s transportation, all students will be held responsible for any cleaning and/or damages that occur (i.e. vomiting, fighting, general misuse) while on our transportation to and from The Venue Fort Lauderdale and will be subject to judicial review and/or sanctions as defined by the NSU Student Handbook.

Location: Rick Case Arena at the Don Taft University Center

Description: Come out to the Shark Tank and support your NSU Men’s Basketball team as they take on Florida National University. This game is sure to be a good one, so you don’t want to miss out! There will be giveaways throughout the game as well as the official reveal of the Homecoming Court winners at half time!

The 2017 Homecoming Court will consist of 18 selected students to represent Nova Southeastern University. Throughout the week, the students will have their chance to showcase school pride and exemplify why they should be chosen as this year’s winners. Final winners will be selected based on a series of categories throughout Homecoming Week. The candidates will be selected from a process including an application and interview, and 2 males and 2 females from each class will be represented on this year’s court (with the exception of Homecoming King and Queen which will be 3 males and 3 females). The winners will be announced at the Homecoming basketball game on Friday, November 10, 2017.

If you are selected to be a part of the 2017/2018 Homecoming Royalty Court, all selected candidates must attend the mandatory informational meeting on Thursday, November 2nd from 12 pm - 1 pm in the Rosenthal Student Center, Room 200. No exceptions will be made.
