The student will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed audiologist, preferably one holding an Au.D. or other earned doctorate in the field. NSU Audiology students have completed externships in numerous sites including private practices, VA Hospitals, and major hospital medical centers across the country and including Florida, Oregon, California, Texas, Idaho, North Carolina, Washington, DC, Massachusetts, and Michigan. |
The student will be assisted in securing an externship position in a
clinic that meets the department's guidelines. Students will be placed
in a full-time externship where they will be exposed to a wide variety
of clinical experiences including diagnostics, electrophysiologic evaluations,
counseling, and amplification.
