| Welcome Message |
Dear NSU Alumni,
The NSU Alumni Association is now accepting nominations for the 2012 Distinguished Alumni Achievement Awards. Each academic unit at NSU annually recognizes outstanding alumni who have achieved an outstanding record of distinction and accomplishment in their lives, professions and communities. The awards are presented to each award winner by the dean of their respective academic unit during NSU’s premier event, the Celebration of Excellence. The 2012 Distinguished Alumni Achievement Awards will be presented at the 14th Annual Celebration of Excellence.
To nominate an NSU alumnus/alumna or yourself for the Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award, simply complete the form and return it along with a professional resume and any additional information you wish to include to: Nova Southeastern University, Alumni Association, Attn: Sara DuCuennois, 3301 College Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33314-7796. All nominations must be received by September 28, 2011.
As always, your NSU Alumni Association is here to serve you. For more information please feel free to contact us at alumweb@nova.edu with any questions or concerns. I look forward to seeing you at future alumni events!

Keith Lorren, M.B.A. ’06, known as the “Spice Dude,” offers a line of spice blends on his website and at a store in Opa-locka. He is finishing classes at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y., and after winning school competitions in chowder, he has decided to give back by offering a $2,000 cash prize to the winner of his contest seeking the most creative use of any of his spice mixtures. It is open to any student, professional chef or home cook for the next two months and if it is a success he will hold the contest twice a year (apply on his website).
Lorren started out teaching business classes and then followed his passion for cooking; he hopes the prize might help someone else make a life change. Contact him at 954-699-6483 or keithlorren@gmail.com. His spice mixtures are sold on line at keithlorren.com and at Country Corner Produce, 15060 22nd Ave., Opa-locka, 786-312-2533 |
