College of Pharmacy Attends American Pharmacists Association (APhA) Annual Meeting
The American Pharmacists Association Annual Meeting and Exposition, held March 14-17, 2008 in San Diego, provided an excellent opportunity for our College of Pharmacy (COP) faculty, staff, students, and alumni in attendance to discover the latest trends and best practices in pharmacy, while sharing experiences and ideas with pharmacy professionals from every practice setting; chain, independent, hospital, federal, long-term care, nuclear, and more with a celebration of the pharmacy profession.
Collectively, our participation amongst attending practitioners, scientists, and students engaged us on making our pharmacy profession on stronger. Sessions, courses, and educational activities highlighted the important relationships that serve as the foundation to our success, the recognition pharmacy is receiving from consumers and key health care stakeholders, and the responsibility pharmacists have for medications and their use.
The College of Pharmacy Exhibit Booth provided excellent networking with alumni and students as well as an opportunity to promote our educational programs amongst interested guests. We were also able to establish new relationships with a exhibitors representing every facet of the expanding industry of pharmacy education, product development, research and development, programs, and service.
