Meet the Callers. The next time your phone rings, it just may be one of us on the other end! We are proud to be this year’s NSU phonathon student callers. As student phonathon callers, we participate in the university’s important, annual fundraising efforts. We have the pleasure of calling alumni on a nightly basis to verify their contact information, update them on university news, and ask for a gift to the Annual Fund. Gifts to the Annual Fund provide an immediate impact on the university by helping meet the increasing costs of educating students, costs that tuition and other sources of revenue can not cover. Gifts designated to the Annual Fund directly support every aspect of our NSU experience, from scholarships and technology to faculty development.
Remember, you don’t have to wait for our call to make a gift and to make a difference at NSU. You can always give online at http://www.nova.edu/giving/.
We hope we can count on your support this year. Your support makes a difference in our NSU experience!
We look forward to speaking with you soon!
Sincerely,
Jonathan, Monique, Gabbi, Zia, Whitney, Kassi, Nakia, Christian, Tania, and Ana

NSU Alumni Day with the Miami Dolphins
On August 25th, NSU alumni experienced Florida preseason football at its best, as the Miami Dolphins took on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Nearly 400 Alumni, family and friends of NSU enjoyed a pre-game tailgate featuring giveaways, raffles, and special appearances by the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders and our very own Razor the Shark. The two teams kept alumni glued to their seats, playing a very close game until Tampa Bay’s Buccaneers scored a winning 1 yard touch down in the middle of the fourth quarter. Thanks to all who attended for making this such a memorable event! View the photo gallery.

The guests were entertained by the music from a live band and there was plenty of food and laughter to go around while everyone mingled and discussed their business ventures and exchanged business cards with their new friends. Many alumni in attendance got to hear about the latest news about their favorite alma mater since graduating. | Did You Know? |
Did you know that NSU Alumni will be surveyed as part of a massive campaign to measure NSU effectiveness?
For the first time in Nova Southeastern University’s history, alumni will be surveyed to solicit opinions on the status of the university in the real world and to understand how well graduates have been prepared for their chosen career.
NSU President Ray Ferrero, Jr. has asked that each alumnus take the time to complete the online survey to help the university understand its strengths and weaknesses. “I would ask that you to participate in this survey so NSU’s senior leadership may better understand your point of view. We fully realize that an engaged and informed alumni will greatly enhance the prestige of NSU in the marketplace,” Ferrero said.
The survey will be conducted by The Gallup Organization’s Institute for Campus Engagement, a uniquely qualified partner who the president retained to gather this information. On or about October 10th, alumni with email addresses on file with NSU will each receive an email directly from Gallup explaining the procedure and providing a code to access the survey site. The survey can be completed online in a manner of minutes, and specific answers will be kept strictly confidential and will not be shared in Gallup’s final summary.
In order to give NSU leadership actionable results, it is imperative that as many alumni as possible participate.
Results from alumni will be correlated with responses from a NSU-wide survey of all NSU students, faculty, administration, staff and even the NSU Board of Trustees. This initiative is all part of an internal campaign appropriately titled “NSU is You” addressing the ever-changing needs of our university.
The NSU is You campaign and targeted surveys is a massive undertaking and the university is counting on the full support of alumni in order to reach its 100% participation goal.
