Campus Recreation Announces its Fall 2006 Golf Learning Program
Campus Recreation is proud to announce its fall 2006 golf learning program in conjunction with the exclusive Grande Oaks Golf Learning Center. The program features golf instruction for golfers of all ages and skill levels. From beginners who have never played golf before, to avid players looking to shave those last few strokes off of their handicap, they have a program for you.
Fall classes begin the week of September 11th. Classes will meet once per week for 8 weeks. The class schedule is as follows:
Beginners: Thursday's at 5:30 p.m. OR Saturday's at 11:00 a.m.
Intermediates: Tuesday's at 5:30 p.m. OR Saturday's at 10:00 a.m.
Advanced: Wednesday's at 5:30 p.m. OR Saturday's at 9:00 a.m.
Classes are led by their staff instructor Dan McCarthy who has been a golf professional for more than 8 years. Dan is an expert instructor of the "modern" golf swing. Classes will include instruction on chipping, pitching, putting, short- irons, mid-irons, long-irons, fairway woods, the driver, sand play, trouble shots, and course management!
Cost for the 8 week session is $175 for beginners and intermediates; $199 for advanced. That is less than the cost of a weekly greens fee! All classes come with unlimited practice balls. If you need golf clubs, they will be provided.
