Alvin Sherman Library Premiere Lecture Series: “Discourse, Issues and Challenges of 21st Century Living” - Friday, September 29, 2006
The lecture will be held from 9:00-11:00 a.m. in the Alvin Sherman Library on NSU’s Davie Campus. The cost of attendance is $300 for Circle of Friends members for the entire series and $350 for non-members for the entire series, which includes a membership in the Circle of Friends. All proceeds from Discourse benefit the Circle of Friends “Creating a Visual Legacy” project. Discourse provides a unique opportunity to engage in dialogue on timely issues of the day and to interact with distinguished scholars, public figures, authors, and policy makers. “Issues and Challenges of 21st Century Living” -- Less than a decade into the century, America has experienced dramatic cultural shifts, changed demographics, astronomical technological advances – in essence, a changed world. The season will focus on the critical challenges which America will have to address in the coming years.
