NSU is proud to welcome the Class of 2010! Our incoming freshmen will be on campus this month to explore NSU during new student orientation. NSU continues to grow as more and more students look to NSU for their educational experience. NSU is now the 7th largest independent, not-for-profit institution with more than 26,000 students. They may only be students here for four years, but as you know, their relationship with NSU lasts a lifetime as members of the NSU Alumni Association.
As always, I look forward to seeing you at future alumni events!

NSU Alumnus Develops First-Ever Online Master’s in Education Law Program
Geoff Still is not just any alum – he boasts three degrees from Nova Southeastern University, and met his wife Stacy in the Farquhar dorms. Beginning with his bachelor’s in 1994, he went on to earn his Master’s in Accounting as well as a Law Degree. Still has been the director of finance and operations for NSU’s Mailman Segal Institute for more than six years, a position he took after serving as the Director of Finance for the School of Psychology. His current position led him to the realization that laws governing educational programs are complicated and hard to navigate - at best. So, Still pulled his legal training and practical educational experience and developed the Online Master’s in Education Law. The program is a collaborative effort between NSU’s Shepard Broad Law Center, Fischler School of Education, and Mailman Segal Institute, and is designed for school administrators and educators – anyone who needs to have a solid understanding of the expanding body of law and regulations pertaining to education, school administration, and special education. The program represents another exciting first for Nova Southeastern University. Even more exciting is that Still and his wife have their two children enrolled in NSU’s programs (and they are expecting their third) – they may surpass their parent’s number of degrees! For more information on the new education law program, visit the website at http://msedl.nsulaw.nova.edu. |
