Did you know that the Hudson Institute of Entrepreneurship
and Executive Education offers a variety of certificate programs
designed to increase the knowledge and skills of working professionals?
Some of the upcoming programs include:
- Business Law for Managers Certificate Program is a two-day
seminar that covers a variety of the essentials of business law
using interactive PowerPoint lectures, CD- ROM trials, videos,
news clips, group participation activities and more. Facilitator
is NSU alum Stephen C. Muffler, Esq., attorney with law firm
of Case & Muffler LLP. This program is ideal for upper level
executives, employees/managers, human resource personnel, entrepreneurs
and small business owners, and anyone wanting to increase their
knowledge of business law issues, including: discrimination/harassment
issues, employment/labor issues, Internet law, contract negotiations,
anti-trust law, product liability, constitutional law and more.
Program will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., on Thursday
and Friday, Sept. 29-30 in the Carl DeSantis Building on NSU’s
main campus.
Program will also be offered at the Kendall Student Educational
Center, 8585 SW 124 Avenue, on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 27-28,
9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Accounting and Finance for non-Financial Managers is designed
for managers in all functional areas, who want to gain a better
understanding of the financial side of business. Program will
be held at the West Palm Beach Student Educational Center, Sept.
27-28, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., and at the Kendall Student
Educational Center, Nov. 11-12, 9:00-5:00 p.m.
- Coaching the Executive Team Executive Certificate Program is
designed for executives, human resource personnel, senior managers,
entrepreneurs and business owners. The program will help attendees
obtain skills and processes for developing management involvement
and commitment; create trust and build management skills; understand
effective methods for coaching the executive management team.
Instructor is Dick Trimarche, an executive coach and management
consultant. As a chief executive with Fortune 300 companies,
Mr. Trimarche has led management teams that have grown mid-sized
companies into multi-million dollar operations by exceeding budgeted
goals, achieving progressive improvements and promoting numerous
managers and chief executives.
The one-day program will be held on the NSU main campus in the
Carl DeSantis Building on Oct. 4, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Managing Creativity and Innovation Executive Education Program
is designed for managers, senior executives, new supervisors
and business professionals who want to stretch their creative
muscles, understand the creative process, overcome barriers to
creativity, take a multi-functional approach to innovation, increase
productivity and encourage fresh ideas and innovations from employees
and/or managers.
The program will be offered at the Kendall Student Educational
Center on Oct. 18 and at the West Palm Beach Student Educational
Center on Nov. 2.
