The Politics of Aging: Is Social Security Secure? - Monday, May 9, 2005
What’s your interest? Music, literature, theater, film, the arts? The Institute for Learning in Retirement, NSU’s lifelong learning program has something for everyone.
The Institute for Learning in Retirement invites
you to join them as a guest for one of their programs to find out
why a growing number of active adults, retired or otherwise, participate
in their programs. A special upcoming event is a discussion about
the politics of Social Security with Laura Feldman, the grassroots
manager for the National Committee to Preserve Social Security
and Medicare in Washington, D.C. “The Politics of Aging: Is Social Security Secure?” is scheduled for Monday, May 9, 2005, from 12:30–2:00 p.m. in ILR Program Room 119, NSU University Park Plaza North.
The Institute for Learning in Retirement was
founded to meet the continuing education needs of South Florida’s growing retirement community. Located on Nova Southeastern University’s main campus, the ILR offers lecture courses, workshops, discussion groups, and field trips. Their programs take advantage of NSU’s diverse faculty, as well as exciting visiting experts in such fields as humanities, sciences, health, and government. Classes are held Monday through Thursday. Their goal is to create learning opportunities in a unique, welcoming social environment, one that fosters intellectual challenge and stimulation and is balanced by entertainment and companionship.
