| Sherrilene Classen, Ph.D. 2002 is the alumni award winner for the College of Allied Health and Nursing As Assistant Professor of the Department of Occupational Therapy at the University of Florida , Dr. Classen oversees research, grants, publications, presentations, course design, lecturing, mentoring, and advising.
The author of many professional peer-reviewed presentations, professional publications and published abstracts, Dr. Classen also conducts presentations around the country.
She is a member of World Federation of Occupational Therapists, the American Occupational Therapy Association, and the American Public Health Association.
She was an invited participant to the National Institute of Health's grant writing, preparation and submission workshop and is a Fellow of the Advanced Postgraduate Program in Clinical Investigation, College of Medicine at the University of Florida .
Future goals include developing a public health model and a national program to promote older-driver safety; to become a tenured professor; and to continue to strive for balance, spiritual fulfillment and high-level wellness.
Her interests include martial artist, biking, theatre, movie, traveling, and teaching fitness classes.
