William Spears, D.B.A. 2004 is the alumni
award winner for the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and
Entrepreneurship
- For the last 18 years, Dr. Spears
has served as the founder and CEO of Energy Education, Inc,
an energy conservation and management company that focuses on
implementing customized energy-savings programs for schools and
helps schools redirect unnecessary energy expenses into needed
educational resources.
- He received his MBA Degree from the Wharton School and his
Bachelor of Science Degree from Oklahoma State University. Named
in Dr. Spears’ honor, The William S. Spears School of Business
at Oklahoma State University offers courses from finance to accounting
to administration.
- A staunch community supporter, he serves as a Board of Director
member for more than a dozen organizations, including the American
Cancer Society, the North Texas Council Boy Scouts of America,
the North Texas Easter Seal Rehabilitation Center, the Wichita
Falls Symphony, the Zale Lipshy University Hospital, and the Greater
Wichita Falls United Way.
- In his spare time, he enjoys traveling,
reading, and studying the Civil War. His future goals include teaching
graduate level entrepreneurs.
