Nursing Department Holds First Alumni Reunion

The first nursing alumni reunion was held on May 3, 2005. Alumni from throughout the tri-county area, along with graduating seniors, gathered for a dinner with the nursing department faculty.

The nursing department's first graduates, the class of 2004, renewed friendships and welcomed the graduating class of 2005 to the alumni ranks. Many alumni have been promoted since graduation and their accomplishments were shared and celebrated by the group.

A continuing education program was presented by Suzan Jaffe, PhD, ARNP—“Sleepless in America: behavioral interventions for sleeplessness.” Certified in sleep medicine, Dr. Jaffe sparked lively discussion regarding the treatment of sleep disorders.

The alumni are already planning their next gathering before another year has passed. A future alumni meeting is in the planning stages for November 7th or 8th.
