Can you believe a
month has already passed since our first issue? And what an exciting
month it was! In January, NSU celebrated its 7th Annual Celebration
of Excellence. NSU President Ray Ferrero, Jr., presented H. Wayne
and Marti Huizenga with this year's President's Community Award
for their outstanding support and commitment to NSU.
Additional honors went to outstanding alumni
from 15 of the university's academic centers, colleges, and schools.
The Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award is the highest honor
that an individual can receive from NSU's Alumni Association. Three
of the distinguished honorees are featured in this month's Alumni
Spotlight. Look for the others in future issues of the alumni
e-Newsletter.
To be considered for this prestigious award,
an alumnus or alumna must have made a significant contribution
to his or her profession, community, and/or society, and have an
outstanding record of distinction or accomplishment in his or her
field. It is never too early to nominate someone or yourself for
the 2005 Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award. To nominate someone,
please complete
the form, print it out, and return it, along
with a resume, to the Office of Alumni Relations. We look forward
to hearing about the incredible accomplishments of our alumni!

Director of Alumni Relations
