First Annual Stars on the Diamond Celebrity Softball Game Rescheduled - Monday,
January 23, 2006
Due to damage caused by Hurricane Wilma,
Nova Southeastern University Director of Athletics, Michael Mominey
announced that the first annual “Stars on the Diamond” Celebrity
Softball Game will be rescheduled for Monday, January 23. The
event, which will take place at the NSU Baseball Complex in Davie,
Fla., will begin with a VIP Party at 6:00 p.m., followed by the
celebrity softball game at 7:00 p.m.
Tickets for the event cost just $75.00 and all proceeds will benefit
the Nova Southeastern University Department of Athletics.
The evening will feature unlimited food
from area vendors, including Anthony’s Runway 84, Mimi’s Ravioli and Quarterdeck,
as well as an open bar courtesy of Premier Beverage. A raffle
for a brand new 2006 Ford Mustang sponsored by Phil Smith Automotive
Group and silent auction will also be a part of the festivities.
A special live auction for dinner for
four at Anthony’s
Runway 84 with legendary baseball coaches Tommy LaSorda and Ron
Fraser
