Amos E. Holt , Ph.D. 1994 is the alumni award winner for the Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences
In his role as Vice President of Southwest Research Institute,
Dr. Holt develops and implements quality systems for technical
and administrative divisions to meet the requirements of the FDA,
nuclear and ISO* quality and environmental requirements.
In addition, he serves as Acting Director of Institute Quality
Assurances, and the Executive Director of Continuous Improvement
Program.
Dr. Holt has received five patents and has authored more than
60 publications in all areas of Nondestructive Evaluation and ultrasonic
imaging aural perception.
He is a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, American
Society of Nondestructive Testing, Sigma Pi Sigma, and the American
Society of Precision Engineering. A Fellow and Honorary member
of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, he is the recipient
of their “Dedicated Service” and “Distinguished
Lecturer” Awards.
