NSU Alumni Chapters

Meet old friends, make new friends, and discover new opportunities!

Our alumni and alumni chapters are the foundation of the NSU Alumni Association. Nova Southeastern University depends on its engaged alumni communities and wonderful alumni leaders to carry on its pioneer spirit. Alumni chapters provide communication channels and programming to meet the needs of its members. By becoming involved in your local chapter, you will have an opportunity to connect with former classmates, form a professional network with fellow graduates, remain involved with the university, and have fun.

The Office of Alumni Relations in pleased to offer assistance to alumni interested in starting an alumni chapter. Alumni chapters are a great way to stay connected to the University and to fellow alumni. If there is not an alumni chapter in your area please contact the Office of Alumni Relations at alumweb@nova.edu.

Benefits of an Alumni Chapter:

Degree Value - Through your club's involvement in the community, your degree will actually become more valuable because you will make the University more visible. More people will see Nova Southeastern University as an outstanding school that produces exceptional graduates, like you, who involve themselves in their community and remain in contact with their alma mater.

Networking - As a participant in your chapter, you will have the opportunity to make new friends, business acquaintances, and personal contacts with other accomplished alumni. NSU alumni are pioneers and leaders in all areas of the professional world, and continued contact with each other will build friendships and partnerships that will be extremely beneficial to all involved. As a volunteer leader in your chapter, your efforts and dedication will not go unnoticed by those within the chapter.

Training - Chapter leaders will be invited to attend special meetings on campus, such as the Alumni Chapter Presidents Retreat, where their personal leadership skills will be enhanced.

Community - By organizing a local alumni chapter, you can enable the alumni of your area to remain connected to one another and facilitate the bonds that all NSU alumni share. Bringing together alumni from different generations and varied fields, you will help to create that sense of community. Extended to other chapters around the country and through the University, we can create a global community that can enhance the lives of all alumni and ensure that NSU will continue to grow and evolve to remain one of the nations largest not-for-profit University

Communication - The club will provide a vehicle for two-way communication between the University and alumni. In this way, it will be easier for the University to communicate its developmental needs as well as academic progress, while allowing alumni to have a forum in which to express their concerns, approval or lend comments to the University.

Personal Satisfaction - As a volunteer leader for your chapter, you can take pride in what you do. Dedication to your chapter's success will ensure great rewards for yourself, fellow alumni and Nova Southeastern University.
