Dual Admission - Osteopathic Medicine

Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.)


The doctor of osteopathic medicine (D.O.) degree is a seven-year or eight-year program. The seven-year program is a combined program; students will follow a three-year prescribed course of study in the undergraduate biology major. Students will be awarded a bachelor of science degree on successful completion of the first year of medical education at the College of Osteopathic Medicine. In the eight-year program, students will complete the four-year undergraduate biology major and be awarded a bachelor of science degree before starting their medical education. Students in both programs will receive the doctor of osteopathic medicine (D.O.) degree after completion of successful study at the College of Osteopathic Medicine.
