Founded in 1947, ACM is a major force in advancing the skills of information technology professionals and students worldwide. Today, our 75,000 members and the public turn to ACM for the industry's leading Portal to Computing Literature, authoritative publications and pioneering conferences, providing leadership for the 21st century.
At the NSU ACM student chapter we are committed to the same goals as our parent organization. We strive to expose our members and community to new and exciting information that is emerging from the world of information technology and computing. Our goals are to seek out knowledgable working professionals, interesting applications of technology, and other informative and fun aspects of computing that we may present to our members.
We hope that we can help those around us learn and understand how computers and technology can help their everyday lives. As students, we work hard to ensure that our peers have the most up to date information regarding technology, and we work as rolemodels to those who also aspire to be computer professionals. Through these tasks, we proudly proclaim to be Nova Southeastern University's "First Society in Computing."
