College Prep

University School, founded in 1971, is a fully accredited, college preparatory day school that provides academic programs for students in prekindergarten through grade 12. The school provides a supportive environment for the development of children, teaching them to think, solve problems, and develop leadership skills within an ethical framework.

A part of Nova Southeastern University, University School currently enrolls students in the average to gifted ability range. The rigorous academic programs focus on individual growth, character development, technological competence, extracurricular opportunities, and community service.

University School has enthusiastic, experienced, and highly trained teachers. As leaders in their fields, many University School teachers are adjunct professors in NSU’s Fischler School of Education and Human Services and serve as collaborative mentors to new teachers. More than 75 percent have advanced degrees.
